For comparison, the MSRP on the similar configuration but with 32GB of RAM was $1,700+ (admittedly unrealistic). Best Buy was clearancing this 32GB RAM configuration for $1440, and a few Microcenter stores which still have them are selling them for $1000.

It's very light @ 2.87 pounds so clearly not the sturdiest machine
All that said I agree the other person is completely off the mark, at 500$ I think a good IPS screen is just fine, especially since this is not a gaming machine so the only use cases where you would really see a benefit is videos. For office work and general browsing IPS actually beats OLED, especially for text clarity you want better than FHD and that eats battery (but realistically by not being lunar lake you have already lost the battery life battle here anyway).
