The anti-reflective coating is different. QN90D produces lines of rainbows across the screen with reflected light, and it's pretty horrible in a room with lots of window or ceiling lights. QN90D is a VA panel and is a better if it weren't for that anti-reflective layer.
I have a room with a lot of light and windows and I actually prefer that rainbow effect to the much more profound direct reflections they other coating has.

I wish Costco can have this deal. I don't trust Best Buy

Anyone with a similar unit comment on the lack of Dolby vision? Can you live without it?

I just ordered this deal from Costco for the same price for the 85" Sony Bravia XR X90L Series 4K Full Array LED:

The 5-year warranty is included with Costco. The 5-year warranty from Best Buy is around $300. It hasn't been delivered from Costco yet.
Is this worth an extra $300?

Thanks for any advice.

I traded in my 85 inch QN90A for the 85 inch QN90D on the latest deal. Arrived last Thursday. I had gotten the free install so was able to confirm that the TV was working before the old TV was taken away. Picture does look better than the old model. Reflection handling from windows seems to be around the same ie not the greatest. The QN90D has the auto calibration feature which is great for anyone not willing to spend on professional calibration. And pairs well with my Q990C soundbar.
Who accepts trades on TVs this large? I also have a QN90A and wouldn't mind an upgrade to the newer model.

Any content available in Dolby Vision is available in regular HDR10 and most people wont notice lack of Dolby Vision against HDR. I have used Dolby Vision for years while streaming Netflix on my LG C9 and I still dont know what difference it makes against regular content I watch in HDR like on Amazon Prime

It was from Samsung.com. See this thread:

While Dolby Vision is "nice to have", the newer TV's get bright enough to where Dolby Vision has minimal impact. Dolby Vision is great for TV's that do not have a lot of brightness, so that when the image is toned down to match the available brightness, the highlights can pop. At least that is how I understood it. I have not missed Dolby Vision on my Samsung QN90A and now QN90D for the ladt 4 years. And they were way better than the Sony I had before where the image was pretty dark with Dolby Vision (may not be a problem with newer Sony TV's).

You can trade any size crappy TV in and get $200 from Samsung. I think maybe this guy meant trade in as if he sold it.

Question - does an 85" tv box fit in the back of a Tahoe or Tukon sized SUV?

Slick! Plus I have a $400 off Samsung product at Best Buy that works for this! Would probably sell it for $200 and would make this a super slick deal @ $1200!
