The grill is a Teflon grill with ridges and fits in the tray on the bottom position of the oven while on the grill setting. Although, do not expect and outdoor grill char on it though.

Have had mine for years. If I needed another I would grab this for sure. Mine did not have the new grill function but otherwise the same.

Reports all over reddit that the dials stop working exactly one year after using it and eventually everything else right after the warranty expires. Anyone experience this?

I purchased what looks like this same model from Costco 3 years ago. We use it daily, and it has far exceeded our expectations. Maybe this one is different in some way- but the one we own has been fantastic.

I purchased this and am not a fan due to the smaller opening size and heights. Id rather stick to a traditional air fryer if possible

At some point the micro switch for the door and the function dial broke but not after a year, it was 5 years later. First micro switch, that one is a hassle to change but it is doable, the factory chose to put solder on a spade connector which made the job much harder. The function dial (broke in 6th year mark) is much easier to change. Just prepare to unscrew a lot.
We have since switched to a digital oven but I am keeping this as a backup, I think this is more reliable than all the other digital ones, once those break, they are probably landfill whereas this one is simple dials and mechanical switches. You don't get some of the functions though like dehydration.

Nope, works great. Use daily for 5 years now. It is a Champ. Bit of a pain to clean, and I replaced the tray and basket once each as well to freshen it up. I think those issues were for certain specific older models though. But all of the dials are technically replaceable if you are only moderately handy.

Used it a few times since getting mine. It's not enough noticeable over the fan. The actual chicken breasts grilling and crisps were louder than the fan too.
