I feel like I've never really needed one of these when it comes to sockets, but I watched a video of a guy removing a grill from a Chevy Colorado. There were a lot of fasteners that would be hard to reach without one. That, and he said it just made everything go a lot quicker/easier. What are the most common uses?
Replacing water pump on 05 c240 merc, there was some long bolts that wouldve taken forever with a regular ratchet. Used a cheap aliexpress cordless ratchet to do it.

Ain't nothing wrong with that. I looked on Amazon, and they had a "DEKOPRO" 12v 30 ft-pd / 230 RPM 3/8" ratchet w/two batteries for $19.99. I confess, I bought it.

Doesn't appear to be hackable.

This was an in-betweener for me so I sold it. For basic tasks requiring 3/8 sockets, I use their little USB 3/8 ratchet. Its much smaller profile and while not as strong, it handles house tasks just fine.

If I need something stronger, I use their 1/2 impact wrench.
That USB thing can't even twist a bread tie

This ratchet is pretty good. I replaced my old Husky with it.

This is the picture for the $199 deal. That's false advertising.
The $99 deal is for one 4ah and one 2ah battery.
The combo set bellow is a better deal $199 Your friend has shared a link to a Home Depot product they think you would be interested in seeing.

Are we still able to do the hack, where we return the batteries and keep the tool?

Was just helping a friend change brakes today and forgot to bring one of these. Hand ratcheting was a pain and thought about going back to get it haha. These things are awesome.

It's not the deal in the first photo. Second one with the cheap batteries and brushed tool. Nothing too exciting. Only thing I don't like about this ratchet is that bulk at the end. Ryobi needs to make a compact 12v series similar to the milwaukee M12.
