FYI, check out all of your various available grocery stores for whether or not they jack up prices. Most of mine do, but Food Lion has "in-store prices" on DoorDash and Instacart

No pay it by item, distance, bag etc. Don't just blindly tip 10% or 15%. The Internet will have you believing to tip 20% blindly on everything which is ridiculous and makes it worse for all of us. If I get a couple prime ribs worth $50 for a grocery store 5 to 10 mins away, better believe I'm tipping $5 max and prob less

Looks like this deal is only available for delivery. I skimmed through the terms and it says not valid for pickup.

Target is one of the stores listed on https://www.doordash.com/p/grocery-delivery
Does anyone know if only groceries from Target qualify for that promo or does everything from Target qualify?

Add one of the $10 Doordash discounts if you have a Chase Sapphire Reserve to make this deal really pop.

First time I see a discount value of over 15 or so. Usually the cap is very low.

Nothing. Tipping only subsidizes sub standard wages for gig workers. Doordash/instacart/etc will all raise base pay each minute/hour that the job is not accepted. Force them to pay the wages that are fair to employees and charge us the appropriate fee for their service. All you're doing when you tip in this case is subsidizing a multi billion dollar corporation. The CEO and CFO say thank you for helping pay the wages of their gig employees while they laugh about guilting you into it during board room meetings and on vacation at fancy pants inclusive resorts. Ayn Rand warned you of this: moral authority is a tool of control. Be very wary of anyone attempting to wield it, they seek power over you.
In usa you tip

They've indoctrinated you well.

I'd much rather pay a fee for a service/product that lets employees receive a fair wage. Don't put the onus of fair pay upon me as a customer, it is the responsibility of the employer.

Don't like it. Don't use it..I don't disagree with you fundamentally, but this is how usa is..you tip

Then they'll just increase their delivery prices to compensate for the increased wages. One way or another, they'll get ya lol. What grinds my gears is when a retailer charges extra for using a credit card. That used to be reserved for the really small mom and pop places which was understandable. Now they all seem to do it here on Long Island, and some even force you to pay cashless and still charge the fee (here's looking at you UBS Arena parking garage).

These grocery deals are a great way to get discounts on things that don't ever go on sale, like baby formula and medicine

How much tip do you pay for grocery delivery? I haven't done it yet but 10~15% grocery doesn't feel right. So say I order just buncha prime beef and salmon for around $300. Should be around 1 bag.. so do you still tip $30~40? I can understand if there's 5+ bags. So do you still pay tip on percentage or by the bag?
I try to use DD at grocery stores for certain things like a restock of cereal so they only need to go in one maybe 2 aisles. It makes it faster and still can give a reasonable tip to still be just a little less total cost than if I went myself

I'm not sure anyone really knows. From the terms, it sounds like a code will be needed at checkout to apply the 50% so my best guess is the code will be shared on X on the 27th on their page. Fingers crossed it's 12am EST

Tipping and fees dont kill this deal

What kills it is in store reward savings/coupons

Good luck using this at Kroger or any of its subsidiary brands when regular priced items are absurdly priced so they can give you a discount

That discount is not available on DoorDash

If there are items you need that never go on sale, this is the time to grab 20% off after fees and a humane tip, but other than that it's a joke deal

You have just convinced me to tip 0% in all future deliveries due to how desperate tech gig companies are making you all. I hope to make these companies pay you all a fair wage and invoke change faster by tipping 0%
This guy/gal gets it.
