Question, how does this work with Android devices if it's wired? Is it connected via the devices USB port? Normally, I'd ask before buying lol, but I can use this for PC as well.

The product description for this model says it's only for Android and PC.
This is not the same as the one on sale a few days ago that was for the Switch.

Yes, through the USB port. You'll need a USB-A to USB-C adapter.

The picture on the controller looks like USB-C. So wouldn't it be USB-C to USB-C cable?

sometimes they work, sometimes they don't, posting it for awareness more than anything else... sometimes people flash it with different firmware and it works for other things, too.
*Xbox charges a licensing fee, which increases the cost of the controller
