Dammm still 256gb for ssd even a 24gb of ram version?
This is a weird configuration. But with cloud storage and fast usb-c hubs. You can definitely get by with 256gb if you want a 15inch..the price isn't bad

That's true, we can make it work. It just a hassle to deal with low storage these days when all apps require more memory than before
$1,200 for any computer with 256GB of storage is a sick joke.
I am using a Windows laptop at the moment with an m.2 SSD, a 2.5" SSD, and two external spinners.
It is hard for me to imagine going from terabytes of internal storage to 256GB.
I feel like a laptop with 4 different storage drives is a sick joke. You have a very specific use case whereas the people buying this laptop are the most general population of users. 256 is low even in my opinion but there are still much better ways to manage large amounts of data for a portal device.
Everyone I know who has these entry level airs don't have high data storage requirements. Even for me, who does to a degree, can get away with 1tb that isn't full because I still put anything important on my NAS. A bunch of data on a portal device with no redundancy is a disaster waiting to happen.
