Wish the 55" was this price and not 1k 🙈 55 is perfect fit my size bedroom but 48 is just not big enough.
We all do, but outside of extreme ymmv, ain't gonna happen my friend.

Not gonna happen, purely wishful thinking on your part.
But it was literally 500 dollars 3 months ago direct from Best Buy. I have a good feeling it will drop back down to 500 during prime day/big box prime day competition sales. 550 is good but 500 is great, I say hold off for now

Could have said the same thing a couple years ago about a sub-$500 OLED TV. Prices drop. Could be a Black Friday doorbuster this year.

This was $50 cheaper a few months ago, no thanks. $500 should be the price for a 55-inch by now.
It would be even lower had LG not cornered the OLED panel market.
LG manufactures 95% of all the OLED TV panels. If you want to manufacture an OLED TV ...Y'gotta deal with them and pay their asking

I'm using a 43" monitor right now. For general use, it's good but for competitive gaming 27"the sweet spot. 48" might work with some sacrifice. Good luck

No. It won't be. You can just look at the historical price to know this.

I have this same unit paired with a PS5 Pro. Ticks all the boxes! Games look absolutely fantastic on this. It's very hard to go back to LED once you've seen what OLED is capable of. Even with a Switch 1, Mario has never looked so good. And of course it doesn't get better than OLED when it comes to Dolby vision movie and show content. I'm trying to find a decent deal on a 65" now. Waiting for prime day .

my 2 cents.

I've been using a 42 inch sony LED 4K TV as my main monitor for almost 9-years, and I can never go back to anything smaller. I've been thinking about upgrading to a 48 or 50 inch for a couple years, but at the same time I don't think I need the bigger screen, so I'm just sticking with what I have for now.

BUT, this OLED has me drooling.

I paid $899 for my sony ( on sale ) 9 years ago, so this OLED is a lot better and a lot cheaper.

Sometimes you have to actually want the product you're buying and not the 10% you want to save.

I bought this during the BF sales to use primarily as a PC monitor for work with some gaming. It could be great as a PC monitor (with all the real estate for people like me who keep lots of windows open... Outlook, Teams, Word docs, Spreadsheets, VS Code, web browser, etc.), but it keeps dimming, which I read is a feature to prevent burn-in. Unfortunately, it doesn't sound like it can be disabled. Also, another issue that I still need to troubleshoot is a strange auto-on bug/feature where the TV will turn on randomly when I receive a call on my Samsung smartphone. I briefly read that there may be a fix for this in the menus, but it's crazy that this feature would be enabled by default.
