R454b isn't super expensive (plus these units use such a TINY charge the qty doesn't matter at price per pound) but it is hard to get right now. Not the actual refrigerant but in the disposable cylinders used in the field; there is a tiny safety device used on the refrigerant cylinders which is in short supply. Without that relief valve, they cannot make the containers thus package the refrigerant. Companies that are buying 125lb tanks of refrigerant have zero issue getting the refrigerant and are selling r454b at normal prices. Soon none of this will be an issue when supply catches up to demand.

And like mitsured said....later R410A will be expensive as well.

urlhasbeenblocked support confirmed that this unit (and the 24k BTU I bought) come precharged (not lineset).

By the time you need refrigerant 410 will probably be as well.

Does anyone know if this unit comes pre charged? most just need a vacuum and open up the valves. killer deal if so. if not getting the refrigerant is annoying.
I've sent a note to support to ask this exact question and do not have a reply yet. There are two items at the same BTU level and one says "Easy DIY installation" and the other (including this listing) do not. WIll update if I find out more.

9th image specs show 208-230v.
I'm wondering the same because the description is different than specs but the image says 208-230v. However, most 9k BTU units are 115v. I ordered one and will update when I get it.

Most of the units like this come precharged, the line sets are not.... usually.

Typically the unit has enough to fill the pre determined line set length.

Not sure I want this refrigerant but this is pretty cheap. Any idea how long the discount code will last? I'd like to confirm it's 220V as well.

Pre charged. Still need a vacuum (Autozone free rental) with 5/16 adapter from Amazon. Super easy

Whatever you do, make sure you use NYLOG BLUE because you'll prob get leaks. I have 3 AUX units and they all needed nylog blue or else they leaked. So crazy. Anyway I have the 12K BTU of this and it works well. Also why care about 120v or 240v ? Both still need the same amount of lines pulled through conduit!

120v vs 240v matters when your breaker box is almost maxed out...

The amperage draw is very different and motors inherently aren't meant to run efficiently on 115v (but that gets into a larger discussion about voltage in the US vs rest of world).

I bought the 12000 BTU (1 ton) of this. Installed it last weekend and it works great. Hope it lasts a long time. It's a rebadged AUX unit based on the remote control.
What voltage is yours?
