Yeah, but the payment processor they're using requires your SSN and bank account. It's not a straight gift card.

I can confirm the credit is a discount code that doesn't stack with sale prices, if you try use the discount code on a sale then the price will revert to full price, the sale prices are usually better than $150. The discount code is worthless unless you absolutely cannot wait for a sale. Otherwise the $100 is better as you can still get the sale price and $100.

from what I've heard, the $150 is just a discount code and is not stackable so get the $100 and you will get a better upgrade deal

Install a custom ROM, e.g., GrapheneOS or LineageOS, and get your 1.5 days of battery back...easy solution.
Doesn't doing this wipe the entire device? If so, no thanks.

wiping the entire device is not a big deal to gain 1.5 days of battery. I mean, no one on the earth will have that number of apps or data that reconfiguration is not possible.

Sure, it's possible, but I'm remote for the next 2 months. This isn't something I want to deal with right now. I appreciate the suggestion, though.

The 6a is on sale at WM for $155. under Verizon prepaid. 60 day unlock and it's still a very good all around phone with a great camera. Been using mine for 2 years and it's been flawless and still getting a full day use on battery. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Verizon...1346825716

Do you happen to know if any activation is required? Or can I literally buy the device and keep it in the box for 2 months then activate it on any network?
The 6A has been a phenomenal phone for me for 3 years until I got the defective battery on one of them and a crappy charge port on another.
I'm in the market for two phones for my younger kids. Doesn't need to be fancy. Your Walmart suggestion might be exactly what I'm looking for.

activation needed to unlock, but can likely be set up on any Tracfone family of carriers: Tracfone, Simple Mobile, Straighttalk, etc. It may also work with a Visible sim without unlocking. There is also a chance it's an unlocked phone.

Once you have received your payout, don't forget to close your Payoneer account. Unless you use it for some level of money transfers it will charge you a ~$30 annual fee.
Jesus! So they make us create this account that has an annual fee attached, to receive the reimbursement. Incredibly sketchy.

I really hope someone sues Google about this.

Pixel 9a is $100 off through 8/17. I just placed my order for a 9a using my $150 6a promo code. $250 total discount before my $75 trade in. What prompted me to select the $150 credit option was this $100 off pricing and I received my code within minutes.

This exact thing just happened to me this morning. I received the following from Google Support, which offers absolutely no explanation at all. I just sent an email reply, but with my prior experiences dealing with Google Support, I don't expect any sort of resolution.

"Thank you for contacting Google support. My name is Victoria. I hope you're doing well.

I understand that you have a query related to the Pixel 6a battery issues. We're sorry to hear that you're having this issue. I know how concerning this must be for you.

As per your request, we reviewed your eligibility for the Pixel Battery Performance Program. Unfortunately, after careful review of your submission, your device has been determined ineligible for an appeasement. As a result, we have rejected your request.

Thanks for your co-operation and if you have any questions or need further assistance, we'll be happy to help."
Any luck getting this approved? They're giving the runaround and are super slow to respond. Is there a way to escalate the claim either within Google or with an external agency?

Do you mind confirmimg here when you get the payment?
I received my $100 a couple of days ago and canceled my Payoneer account immediately thereafter (to avoid fees).

Oh thanks for the info. I was not sure we could use the $150 promo code for battery defect along with any promos/discounts since the 9a is $100 off now..

Got my $100, it automatically transferred to my linked checking account and I just submitted the request to close my Payoneer account. Not the easiest way to get the promised money but definitely not the hardest.

$150 credit + $100 "discount" + minimum $75 trade-in for a now worthless POS phone...this is easily one of the best $lickDeal$ I've ever gotten.

Ended up taking the $150. Bought a pixel 8 pro (plus case and pixel watch 2) for $599 (633 after tax). Got $75 trade in on the 6a. Sold the watch for $120. So $633 - 150 - 75 - 120 = $288 not too bad for a pixel 8 pro
