18TB (which will have Exos in it) is $220 on Seagate web site right now. Probably a better play.

This is why I don't get why they don't have 10TB or 8TB drives for under $100? İ need only about 5-6TB space and I'd like to get 2 drives so I can consolidate my backups. What is going on with Hard drive market lately.

It's A.I.. require storage space. Plus the economy, tariffs and all factor in. But in the grand scheme of things, back in the late 90's I got a 4 GB IBM hard drive for 275 and thought it was a steal!

I won't know for sure until it arrives next week. If you're thinking about getting one at the sale prices, just do it now while they have stock available. You can always return it if it's not what you wanted.
