These are great! Hopefully new airtags will be backward compatible with these. Even with rechargeable NiMHs the battery life is very impressive.

Energizer lithium batteries have a longer life expectancy. They can go 10 years without leaking.

Good deal I love the lithium batteries they last so much longer. it is hard to get a quality CR2032 without paying thru the nose. Put one of these in your luggage and enjoy watching it get loaded onto your flight and come down the baggage claim conveyor. Forget to check the battery before your flight and i can all but guarantee your bags will be lost somewhere.

I would highly doubt a lithium battery is going to leak. If it leaked it's probably on fire

I have these. Signal isn't an issue, but if you plan on keeping the speakers on the air tags, they do muffle the noise a bit.
