Just be aware your link is to excellent quality tier vs. OP's renewed premium. Renewed Premium also comes with a year warranty (not sure if other tiers do).
The battery quality is shit though based on the iPhone 15 pro Renewed Premium I bought early this year. Battery was draining so bad that it has to be plugged in to a battery bank every 30 minutes.
yeah, OP's deal really isn't worth the risk given the savings over new are minimal. the reviews seem like the condition (especially battery and display) is questionable. TEST THOROUGHLY!!
For me, the 17 Pro Max will likely be out by the time my 90 day return window is up, so I have very little to lose 👍
as an FYI, the 16 Pro Max was delivered this morning (!) and it's nearly new. No scratches/chips, 100% battery health and only 39 cycle count, purchased in March, so Apple warranty until March 2026 😎
I received one with black glue around the lens glass edges. I put it back in its box and returned it without even turning it on. Amazon declined my review saying it is related to packaging and seller. Nothing "premium" about this renewed phone.
Ordered on the 8th has not yet shipped. Should I be concerned?
I also ordered on the 8th, at the time it said it would ship July 14-18. I just got shipping notification today, interesting the e-mail said the item was shipped from someone other than what had been ordered. When I ordered it was shipped and sold by Amazon, now the order details and invoice say it was sold by Amazon but shipped by "other".
We'll see what arrives....
EDIT: Once delivered, the shipping label said is was from an Amazon Fulfillment Services location in Texas, so I think "other" was probably Amazon in the end. That all cleared up, the phone came in a Renewed inner box with a generic space to hold the phone somewhat securely once that inner box was closed, along with a generic clear peel-off plastic stuck to the face and back of the phone.
Trouble was, there was inadequate filler inside the shipping box to keep the Renewed box from just banging around even when lightly carrying the box, this cause the Renewed box to open inside, and the phone to come slightly loose from the molded phone recess inside, so it was shifting around, and the peel-off plastic to get a bit loose as well. Fortunately though, did not see any noticeable scratches on the phone itself from the rough journey.
So looks like a as new phone, 100% battery health (42 charge cycles count), first activated in Dec 2024. No warranty per Apple site liookup, as expected.
