I just got them and they are usbc but might as well be micro usb. They can't be charge with usbc to usbc or charger that does usbc pd standard. It only charges with usba to usbc.

The RT22 is only 16 channel. They don't include the 467 Mhz channels (.5w) on this model. And according to FCC ID, these are 1.08w.
These also have their own privacy codes, so they can't communicate, easily, with other FRS way radios. I've been trying to find one that matches, with my old Midland A51 model, and haven't found a compatible channel, with privacy code, that will match, yet.

Yeah, I've run into that problem before. It was something I rarely charge. Maybe a streaming box remote, don't remember. My new, big, fancy USB C chargers and USB C cables wouldn't work at all. Had to use the USB A to USB C cable. Bingo! Which is such a drag because I enjoy simplicity.

Yes, it would work, but almost all ships now search your luggage with scanners and xrays and when found,will be confiscated. If they catch you walking around using them, they will also confiscate them. I used them on Royal Caribbean,but never openly. Some ships will kick you off the ship if found or deny boarding if found. They are really looking for power strips, chargers, and anything electrical that could cause a fire, but will not overlook these when found.

In the 80s, I saw a communication device that would let you dial someone else from a car. It was like a brick but freed you from using a landline. Wish those things would have caught on. I would have expected by now everyone would have one in their pockets.

I actually bought this exact same product on Prime Day for $39.99. No coupon code at the time. I could exchange for the difference in cost but the range isn't as great as advertised. Maybe half mile without interferences. With any ounce of interference, that range begins to tank very rapidly

FWIW, being a ham, we programmed one for getting into a local 440 repeater which is 15 miles away. No issues getting into it, but then the repeater has altitude and a high gain antenna.
