I caught ringworm a few months ago and to sanitize my clothes I had read that I should use the hottest setting in the washing machine and dryer. Well I did that, but then of course my clothes took a beating. My jeans that I always took good care of now look pretty faded. If this works at eliminating ringworm then this would be ideal compared to the hot washing method.

I have done this when laundering a stinky mildewy comforter and the smell after washing is nauseating and just would not go away even after washing again. I also use the Laundry Sanitizer. I don't know if it kills ringworm but it does prevent wet laundry from getting mildew smelling when one fails to dry the laundry in a timely fashion. The sanitizer is added via whatever add softener method your washer uses. It does leave a very slight disinfectant smell that does go away on its own. The laundry sanitizer effectively removes stink from laundry and is great for laundry that has been left wet too long and has a mildewy or musty smell. I have also added a half a cup to carpet cleaner solution and it cleared my musty carpets of their disgusting odor!
