I've never done a spectrum trade in. If I do the Fold 7 pre-order and pay the full $2k up front, is the $1k trade-in value credited back to my Spectrum account or my bank account? The Spectrum rep told me I had to finance it for 36 months to get the bonus $1k trade-in deal, but after the credits start showing up I could pay it off in full then and not worry about the 36 months of credits, but that seems questionable given how AT&T did me dirty in the past. I don't want to finance anything, I would prefer a one time payment even if I have to wait for a $1k refund for my trade-in or wait until release day and buy it in store if they apply the trade-in immediately. Can any of you spectrum trade-in veterans clarify this for me?

Don't listen to any of the reps with finance. Spectrum have one of the best deal when it comes to new samsung for the past 3-4 years. If you don't care for the free storage upgrade, go do in store which I would recommend given is your first time.
Spectrum is offering a free line for a year which you can just apply online. If you don't have any line before you hit the store, you can buy the cheapest $20 pay by gig plan, if you want to stay with spectrum for the line as well, which isn't that bad, their $30 line is the unlimited one. For the deal, bring a junk phone that is listed on the spectrum online when you click trade in. Just do pay in full and make sure you re-confirm the rep is pay in full, your total should be around 1K plus tax, that would be your out the door price. Wait till 60 days to request unlock.

Yes, they charge the full price upfront. Trade-in bonus credit will be applied to account after they receive the trade in. From what I read here and the reddit, this account credit can be applied to the credit card use to make the purchase.

Can confirm that the trade in will be credited to your account but it just takes a 2 min chat with a rep to have it credited back to your credit card.

Man trade in value is not great. For my Fold 6 512GB its only showing 430, plus the 1000 bonus. Im in CA so they charge the full tax, so all in after I get the credit back I'm still paying $755. Not terrible I guess but I was hoping for under $600.

buy a $30 moto g phone at walmart, use that as the trade-in device, and sell the fold 6 either locally or ebay. that's always an option. that's what i most likely will do with my S25.

spectrum website says that the promo ends on the 7/24. So i'm assuming once the phone is officially available to buy at Spectrum stores starting 7/25, the $700 promo trade-in credit will no longer be available, right? Basically implies, we have to do a pre-order and mail in the trade-in. correct me if i'm wrong.

Anyone else having a problem with the website not accepting any trade-ins? It worked for a min but as I was playing around with the different trade in options it stopped accepting anything, it just says whatever phone I input is not eligible for trade in.

I wouldn't risk it through mail. But if you wait until trade-ins occur in store and it gets past the person looking at your phone then you're golden. Set it up with a black wallpaper. LOL
