I had a pipe fail behind a wall at one of my rentals. After cutting out the old tee, I prepped the pipe for soldering but it was a nightmare trying to solder a tee in six different places, all in a tight space between a bathroom vanity and a toilet. Out of frustration, I called a plumber. She finished the job in 90 minutes using a tool I had never seen before.

That was my introduction. After seeing how fast and clean it was, I was ready to buy the tool myself just to save time. Unfortunately, most name-brand ProPress tools are well into the thousands, which didn't make sense for occasional use. So I looked into more affordable options and came across a generic Chinese brand called Zupper — and noticed it was going on sale for Prime Day.

Not only did the tool go on sale, but I also confirmed that Zupper sells a ring attachment kit and even a MegaPress kit, which was a big plus for future projects in tight spaces.
At this price, the tool pays for itself in just one use for me. I've already planned to install four automatic water feeds with it. I've always been intimidated by soldering but thanks to this tool, not anymore.

One word for you.... Pex!

There are times for copper and man the pro press are indeed a lifesaver but the tools are insane in price so thank you for sharing!! They make hand operated (hydraulic) pro press crimpers for <$100 too. Example: https://a.co/d/8AVKYep

So this tool is gonna press the tubing and make a leak-proof seal? No soldering or any other treatment needed? I watched their video but it does not make it clear whether the pressing results in a leak-free connection. Thank you.

the fittings themselves have an o ring inside. however, there have been tests from guys in YouTube pressing fittings on without the o ring and the fittings did not leak even at high psi (like 700 or something like that). can't say they will all press like that, but food for thought, I guess.

Yes, that's correct. All the pro plumbers use this method when possible. The questionable method that is always up for debate is Shark Bite.

I also chose to share this kit because it goes all the way up to 2" if you need it.

This really is a nice kit for the price! As for Shark Bite...I have and still occasionally use them and in my limited experience, 100% success even after removing one of them (as expensive as they are they better be reusable LOL) and then later reusing it.

I needed a 90 ft run to go from one corner of my house to the other corner to serve as a hot water return line for my hot water recirculation pump. If I tried to do that in copper or standard PVC it would have been a massive headache with numerous connection points that would be vulnerable to leakage. Instead, for $30 I bought a hundred foot roll of PEX and was able to pull that end to end without a single fitting in the middle. There's a time and place for every material and tool and where copper is needed you only have two choices, and I would 100% go with this pro press even though I can and have sweat pipe. Thanks again for posting this.
