This is a different phone from the April deal. That deal was for the 2025 version. This is the older 2024 version.

Verizon is trying to nuke the 60 day rule right now. Everyone should file an FCC comment reply by July 21 to push back: https://www.reddit.com/r/verizon/...you_to_do/ - This article says the window has expired, but if you post a comment as a "reply to other comments" (it is on the FCC comment form under comment type) they will still field it.

You can use any mobile number to receive the verification code when you place the order. It does not have to be the same number you will actually port-in when you have your new phone.

I now received the phone and sim. How can I choose a different number to port in other than the one I entered before purchasing it?

You don't have to use that number. That's been mentioned in many TW threads. When you go to activate online you might get the option to choose a new number. If not, then most of us just use a google voice number to port.

when i try selecting new number and entering my imei, the error shows up: "You must bring your number if you wan to activate this device. In the next step please select I want to keep my number option"

If I select i want to keep my number then I can only select my old inactive total wireless number and if I proceed with that then it now asks me for purchase a plan or redeem pin.

The phone is stuck with me for 2 months so it may have bricked total wireless system and I need to contact cs

Same.. TW Live chat rep told me that it will not unlock automatically. I would have to let them know a day ahead of the 60 days if i want it to be unlocked.
I have reservations about the accuracy of what the reps tell us but to be safe I might try to contact them the day before just to confirm.

Mine just unlocked overnight, it's about 2 days early if I did the math right. Confirmed it by putting a another carriers sim in.
I was a little concerned as I used a GV number and it took a couple of days for the port to go through, if they went by that it would have been very close to the start of another bill cycle.

Thanks for the update! I can't find where I can check if mine is unlocked, can you tell me where it is in settings?

Go to 'Settings', 'About Phone', 'Device Details', scroll down and you'll see 'Network Lock' second item from the bottom.
