No consensus! Can't tell if this is a good deal or one way trip

HOLY MOLY this is the deal I've been waiting for! Just booked 3 tickets - me, my 8-month-old who LOVES 14-hour flights, and my 2-year-old who definitely won't have a meltdown at 30,000 feet over the Atlantic!
Rome layover is PERFECT - gives us time to explain to customs why we have 47 pouches of baby food and why my toddler is screaming "NO NO NO" in three different languages.
My wife asked "Are you sure taking a baby and toddler to see the pyramids is a good idea?" and I said "Honey, they're practically the same age as some of those ancient artifacts!"
Already planning to change my son's diaper right next to the Sphinx for the ultimate vacation photo. The checked bag allowance is clutch because I'm bringing the entire contents of Babies"R"Us.
Can't wait to experience Egyptian culture while my kids experience their 37th consecutive hour of jet lag!
Thanks OP! 🔥🔥🔥
Edit: Wife just reminded me neither kid has a passport yet. Minor detail!

My son has been asking to go see a pyramid, I think he'll have to settle for the Bass Pro Shop in Memphis for the near future

We went to Egypt a couple of years ago and had a fabulous time. Don't listen to haters. It is a very tourist friendly country - a significant part of the economy depends on tourism. The archeological sites and the museums are unique and the food is awesome. And the dollar goes a long way there.

A honeymoon in the Great Pyramid conducting magical rituals sounds fabulous this time of year.

Nothing wrong with Egypt. It's a American allied country. At least for now until the red hat has a bad day.

Figured it's only safe for certain Americans. 😞
