I really can't recommend Sceptre at this price. Realistically you can spend 10-20% more and get something from a reputable company that doesn't look and feel like a piece of junk. I have had Sceptre TV's and monitors, and while they have met expectations, they are usually bottom of the barrel.

Agreed. The Dell 34" UW 1440p I got for about $349 a little over a year ago. Plus the OLEDs are coming way down in price and it may be worth it to wait a bit and get something significantly better. Having said that, this is not a bad price if you have a strict budget. We used Sceptre monitors at my last two jobs and they had a good track record and got way more use than a normal home user.

EDIT - Link to a less expensive OLED 34" UW: https://slickdeals.net/f/18434662-alienware-34-inch-aw3425dw-oled-679-99?src=rcm_category

100% agree. You can pick up a 180hz Acer refurb for the same price that will be much better overall.

Thankfully. VA is what you want with a curved monitor.

Considering the amount of people who don't know (or refuse to admit) that VA is the way to go with a curved monitor (if you're not getting OLED), I'm going assume the comment was intended as a negative. I have a friend how just refuses to admit it. He's huge on tech, so he knows full well VA and curved displays go together like cake and frosting, but every time I tell him that, he just goes, "Nope." It's very annoying.

I've heard from multiple people that OLED and IPS suffer from bad text quality on curved screens in particular and therefore VA is the way to go. Every curved I've owned (3 or 4?) has been VA so I wouldn't know.

A Twinkie outlasts fresh food by 1000x but it's still crap all those years later.

Anyone else get the 2025 version for the 2023 version price? Same MSRP and only 15hz difference but not bad for $200
