Like many others, I was initially waiting for a better post-pre-order deal. But in the end, I was more concerned about the uncertainty of the Tariffs situation.I also added the VIP Advantage Membership, which I started from the Care+ plan. The VIP plan seems like the better option, especially since it includes 2 years of Samsung Care+ coverage for up to 4 devices - a major plus considering the foldable screen issue. This is going to be a huge upgrade from my LG V60 Dual Screen, which has been my daily driver for past years. Yes, I do love to consider all other foldables options - like Oppo Find N5, Honor Magic V5, and Vivo X Fold 5. But realistically, Samsung is the only reliable and safe choice in the U.S. for the current and maybe at least next 2+ years.
Nice! I came from V60 also and my Fold6 feels small compared to it until you open the big screen. Enjoy it!

Thank you, fellow LG V60 alum!
I did have a Fold 3 passed down from a family member, but never used it as my daily driver - for the same reasons you mentioned.
I got only $150 with EDP discount, no $50 preoder sign up credit
I believe it depends on your trade in and the final amount. Did you trade in a recent device for $1000? That $300 off is basically 15% of the full price. If you reduce the price to $999 with a trade in, the 15% is now $150.
Try this chat. https://order-help.us.samsung.com/page/chatthe preorder sales chat will not be able to help. i was able to get them to process it here. I didnt' want to reorder, since pick up would've pushed it back another week and sent me to a much further location.
I had to contact two reps. First wasn't helpful, second promises I will see the refund in 24 to 48 hours with an email coming then. I pre-ordered the 1TB model so the difference is $242 for me.
The $300 doesn't stack with higher value trade-ins, shows full $300 discount if buying it outright, but doing a $1000 Zfold trade-in drops the discount to $150. Typical Samsung chicanery. Would still be a terrible deal even if it did stack, nearly $900 out of pocket cause of the ridiculous sales taxes on their inflated fake MSRP's.
it's because it's simply 15% off. At $2K, it's $300. At $1K after trade in, it's $150. Still the lowest price we will likely see during preorders.
Warning: Whoever pre-ordered it before and try to cancel it might not go through. i found out the price dropped last night, and I just canceled my last pre-ordered right the way. but when i received the cancel email, they only canceled my digital goods (software bonuses, Samsung care), but the phone still were stuck "in process." Now the "cancel" option on "my order" is disappear. i can't cancel it anymore. I just chatted with rep 3 times see if they can help and 2 of the rep said I have to wait 24 hours to see if the cancelation goes though an other rep said i have to wait 24-36hr. that stupid... the item not even shipped yet. i dont know why they dont let me cancel it.
It means you guys got a unit already assigned to you, basically preparing to ship phase, so can't cancel anymore. Can still return it though.

I've gone through the exact same thing. The rep told me that he's unable to cancel the Fold7, and that I must refuse delivery. I then said that I would just keep my original order if he would reinstate the digital freebies, and most especially the 2 years of Samsung Care. But he said he was unable to do that. So stupid! I guess I'll just refuse the delivery as he suggested.
Thanks OP, I did save money but Chat told me they couldn't credit me the difference on the old order and to place a new one with the better pricing. I did that, and when I went to cancel the old order I couldn't because it's in process already. Now I have x2 phones shipping to me, but I am not concerned that I won't be able to return the first more expensive one. It's just a bit of a hassle.
yeah man, this happened to me last year. Messing around, ended up with two phones arriving. So I just returned one without opening it.

Be careful about accepting the first order. I was told by the rep that there would be a restocking fee if I accept the delivery and then return the phone. He suggested that I just refuse the delivery altogether.
Why do you guys buy these foldable phones if you can get a great phone and an awesome bigger screen tablet? Two devices for lower total price is a better deal, isn't it? I am just trying to understand... if these foldables were priced somewhat adequate, then it is another story.
