Keep in mind that the M2 series chips are the ones where 512GB storage runs faster than 256GB storage. They fixed this for M3 and M4.

None of the base M-chips supported dual monitors (properly) until the M4 I believe. You had to get the M-pro chips to get dual monitor support.

Yep, couldn't remember the details but knew it wasn't the same "dual monitor support" as you got with the m-pro chips. my m1 pro does dual 4k monitors with the lid open.
