Issues with becoming “unsubscribed” from certain threads randomly

Over the last couple,of months, I've noticed that threads I've subscribed to occasionally disappear from that list somewhat randomly. The threads are automatically added to my list of subscribed threads when I post a reply as usual and I will see new replies to that thread show up later. But at some point, a thread will occasionally just disappear from that list and I'll need to find it and subscribe again to continue seeing replies. I first noticed it a couple of months ago, but thought it might be an isolated incident or two, but I've seen it several times since then. I saw it with a thread last week that I'm certain I was subscribed to and I just re-subscribed. Now I see that it happened again with a thread that I had replied to a few times and have seen a number of new replies to that thread, but it just dropped from my subscribed list also. This is the thread for reference…

Any idea what might be happening with that or tips to avoid it? It's not a big deal, but one of those quirky things that just makes me wonder what's up.

Do you have a lot of subscribed threads? There is a limit (I can't recall what it is) but the behavior you are describing sounds like what happens when you reach the limit. If so you may wish to go through your list and unsubscribe from ones that you are no longer interested in following and see if that helps.

Oh yeah, I have a LOT of subscribed threads … looks like 830 now that I check, lol. It's something I've just kept adding to in the past and never thought about going back to remove old ones since the inactive ones just kind of fall into the background after a while. I'll try digging through and unsubscribing some old ones at some point. Thanks for the tip!
