I tried out a similar model. That hinge is very suspect. Quite thin and fragile feeling. My particular unit had what sounded like a shot bearing.

I love mine no problem I train with the military in the weather we have right now in North Carolina.. it can be a tad bit loud in the higher speed.. it has saved my behind in the heat. feels sturdy not cheap feeling

They're also super handy for getting charcoal going quickly. I got one last time, worth the the 8 bucks for sure.
I am using a similar model. The noise is annoyingly loud, but it does not bother me that much.
I only use it for exercise.
