This is OK to use very light weight boxes. No for think boxes.
I thought my efforts will be less and much quicker with this but in practicality it's NOT
we need to apply pressure to move the scissor. Based on thickness Iof the box it needs that much pressure. It gets struck in the middle and to be removed and continue
I now moved back to my old style cutting with sharp knife which now I feel easy and simple
Importantly the charger is their proprietary plug so if we lost it no way to use. I don't like this but keeping it safe and handy
$80 skill was his #1
May not be your cup of tea but if you want a tool that will destroy all boxes and more, its a much better investment.

At first I was skeptical of this product for the same reason. But then it was mentioned that it may be more effective when space is limited so cutting into matching uniform pieces may be ideal. Would you say that is the case?
This cutter being sold in that thread would choke on thicker material.
If say keep a regular box cutter around for the thin stuff that is super easy to cut.
Been using this tool a lot more often recently with different blades.
Was a life saver building our shed and for some home improvement tasks..
So I think owning one is great as a tool in general, the box cutting thing as just a hack I came up with that worked so well that it's my go too now.
Now I got a few different blade types for it, and in some situations it's now a favorite tool.
Like cutting off a bolt/nail with this is way faster, easier and safer than the angle grinder I used to use.
I'll definitely never go back to a regular box cutter/utility knife for boxes.

I went out and bought the H/F one also. Works well for my use case. When the video came out I was recuperating from Bicep Tendon Distal surgery. They sew the torn tendon together, drill a hole in your forearm, stick it through the hole and attach it to a metal button. The cardboard was building up. 3+ months after the surgery, I'm allowed to bicep curl with a one pound weight in P/T. Yeah, one pound. In the real world, the arm can do more, but I'm following the process.
As an alternative to scissors, it could be good, but I feel like it's kind of overkill, and takes up a lot of space in a junk/utility drawer.
For cutting through plastic blister packs and zip ties, it's hard to beat the zibra open-it. I got it on a deal posted here like a decade ago, and it's been one of my favorite and most-used tools ever since because I buy too much stuff posted on slickdeals.

AFAIK I have three different tools and they all use the same blades.
Some have slightly different mounting holes, but the blade's are made to be universal.
For the most part, but there are a few exceptions. There is a chart here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...NF32B
