i just cancelled my LG 83 inch tv they are the absolute worst. They charged me even though my order has been on back order for 3 weeks. I am thinking of getting the QM8 85" if i get the 98 do they install the mount ? cause my old one will only do 85

Please post your opinion on it so it'll help me decide. I'm coming from a 7-8yr. old pretty nice Sony TV at 75". I've heard some store rep. tell me I may be a little disappointed as 98" may stretch the picture quality and I won't get as good of an image. Not sure if that's true. I've been to several BB and only a few have the 98" on display but unfortunately they only play the usual preset content and never a regular show or movie program so you can see how it looks in real world.

I have had this unit, 98QM6K, since launch. I think I left the first review on best buy. it is incredible. the main reason it makes sense in my house is the 100% matte finish on the screen. despite the 2024 QM7 claiming to have such a high brightness/nit that it would suffice in rooms with high glare- that was not the case. when I saw the QM7K drop down in price for the first time, I exchanged and had best buy install it and take back the QM6K. Two things happened: 1. I realized the QM7K is not matte, I think TCLs verbiage says something like "matte-like" finish, and by that, it must mean not at all. just a big glossy black mirror. 2. it is bright, extremely bright, but it doesn't negate natural light glare from windows. Ordered another QM6K replacement and very happy. the brightness on the QM6K Vs QM7K certainly exists on paper, but at night, you're probably going to have to have either one turned down- both absolutely blinding in a dark room. personally, I would recommend going with this QM6K over the qm7k- but it depends ultimately on how many windows are in the room you're planning on installing, and how bad the glare is.

The 98 QM7K got installed today. So far, I love it. Blacks are excellent for non-OLED. My only one very minor complaint, and this may have to do with either the installers or the bracket I chose, is that the subwoofers on the back of the TV rattle something, coming from the back of the television, sounds like it's vibration on the wall mount. Not really a big deal. I will be using external audio soon, just have to get it all hooked up to the 5.2.2 Denon and speakers

My room is fairly light controlled with black out curtains. I do not have issues with glare, so it works well for me. If I turn on the light on the ceiling fan, I do get some glare, but i usually only turn that light on if I need full room brightness like when I'm cleaning or looking for something I can't find.

Agree… as much as I like my 4K UST projector on a 120" screen in my living room, I prefer the pic on my 82' Sony TV in my loft…

I might just have to buy this TCL and sell my Optoma projector and VividStorm screen…

That's what I'm waiting for. Went to pull the trigger on that a day too late (tcl to dealer promos expired).

As I understand it the discount will return before EOY.
