Slickdeals may be compensated by Chase

1. For students 13 - 17 years old at account opening with their parent/guardian as a co-owner and the account linked to the parent/guardian's personal Chase checking account. Linked accounts exclude Chase High School Checking℠, Chase College Checking℠, Chase Secure Checking℠ and Chase First Checking℠. When the student turns 19, the Chase High School Checking account will become a Chase Total Checking® account.

2. We will decline or return transactions when you do not have enough money in your account or your linked backup account to cover the charge. However, you could still end up with a negative balance if, for example, a transaction is approved for one amount, but then the actual charge is more than what you have in your account (like when you add a tip at a restaurant after the transaction for the meal was already approved). Even if you have a negative balance, we will not charge you an overdraft fee.

3. Account Alerts: There is no charge from Chase, but message and data rates may apply. Delivery of alerts may be delayed for various reasons, including service outages affecting your phone, wireless or internet provider; technology failures; and system capacity limitations.

4. Chase Mobile® app is available for select mobile devices. Message and data rates may apply.

5.Enrollment in Zelle® at a participating financial institution using an eligible U.S. checking or savings account is required to use the service. Chase customers may not enroll using savings accounts; an eligible Chase consumer or business checking account is required, and may have its own account fees. Consult your account agreement. Funds are typically made available in minutes when the recipient's email address or U.S. mobile number is already enrolled with Zelle® (go to enroll.zellepay.comOpens overlay to view participating banks). Select transactions could take up to 3 business days. Enroll on the Chase Mobile® app or Chase Online℠. Limitations may apply. Message and data rates may apply.

Zelle® is intended for payments to recipients you know and trust and is not intended for the purchase of goods from retailers, online marketplaces or through social media posts. Neither Zelle® nor Chase provide protection if you make a purchase of goods using Zelle® and then do not receive them or receive them damaged or not as described or expected. In case of errors or questions about your electronic funds transfers, including information on reimbursement for fraudulent Zelle® payments, see your account agreement. Neither Chase nor Zelle® offers reimbursement for authorized payments you make using Zelle®, except for a limited reimbursement program that applies for certain imposter scams where you sent money with Zelle®. This reimbursement program is not required by law and may be modified or discontinued at any time.

Zelle and the Zelle related marks are wholly owned by Early Warning Services, LLC and are used herein under license.

6. Chase QuickDeposit℠ is subject to deposit limits and funds are typically available by next business day. Deposit limits may change at any time. Other restrictions apply. See Chase.com/QuickDeposit or the Chase Mobile® app for limitations, terms, conditions and details. Chase Mobile® app is available for select mobile devices. Chase QuickDeposit is compatible with iPhone and iPad devices with iOS 11.0 and above. For Android devices, we recommend a 4-megapixel rear-facing camera with auto focus for the best performance. Enroll on the Chase Mobile® app. Message and data rates may apply.

7. Chase Savings℠ has no Monthly Service Fee when you do at least one of the following each statement period: Option #1: Keep a balance at the beginning of each day of $300 or more in your savings account; OR, Option #2: Have $25 or more in total Autosave or other repeating automatic transfers from your personal Chase checking account (available only through chase.com or Chase Mobile®); OR, Option #3: Have a Chase College Checking℠ account linked to this account for Overdraft Protection; OR, Option #4: Have an account owner who is an individual younger than 18; OR, Option #5: Have a linked Chase Premier Plus Checking℠, Chase Sapphire® Checking, or Chase Private Client Checking℠ account. Otherwise a $5 Monthly Service Fee will apply. New and converted accounts will not be charged a Monthly Service Fee for at least the first two statement periods. After that, the Monthly Service Fee will apply unless you meet one of the ways to avoid the Monthly Service Fee each statement period (if applicable).

The OP is missing the link to the offer https://account.chase.com/consume...ng-account

Note that because the parent will be a co-owner of the kid's account, Chase will disqualify the kid from this offer if the parent has gotten a Chase checking or savings bonus in the last 2 years. From the T&C:

Quote :
Bonus/Account Information: Your child can receive only one new checking account opening related bonus every two years from the last coupon enrollment date and only one bonus per account. To receive the bonus: 1) Open a new Chase High School Checking account, which is subject to approval; AND 2) Complete at least 5 qualifying transactions within 60 days of coupon enrollment. Qualifying transactions include: debit card purchases, online bill payments, Chase QuickDepositSM, Zelle®, or ACH credits. After your child has completed all the above requirements and the 5 qualifying transactions have posted to their account, we'll deposit the bonus into their new account within 15 days. To receive this bonus, the enrolled account must not be closed or restricted at the time of payout. Eligibility may be limited based on account ownership. Bonus is considered interest and will be reported on IRS Form 1099-INT (or Form 1042-S, if applicable).
