Took me awhile to figure out how to submit for the rebate card.
After you activate, you go to

https://promotions.t-mobile.com/, click start a new submission. Select your phone number for the T-Mobile Gateway and hit the optional Promo Code option, it is 250395. Fill out the information and then after ~10 weeks you get the gift card via text/email.

Affirmative. Hopefully they'll make the same mistake with a primary conductor soon and the problem will work itself out naturally.

I got this exact promotion for the rely plan and modem starting June 16. Works well except for having to reconnect my fire stick to the Wi-Fi literally every single time I turn my TV on. I've tried everything and it will not stay connected. Still have not received my $200 gift card however it has only been 6 weeks. The speed is good for my area. If you don't set up auto pay right when you order service they will not give you the auto-pay discount on your first bill, even if you sign up for it before the bill hits. Not especially crazy about their customer service but for $40 a month it's decent. Update: got my $200 rebate card for the rely plan after 8 weeks.

Does anyone have advice for external antennas for this to increase speed?

Waveform 4x4 mimo pro. I installed one Friday and finally connected and set it up the next day. Improved the "reported" 4 or 5 bars (very good) with speeds varying from 200-500 mbps to 5 of 5 bars (excellent quality) with my worst speedtest of 400 and up to 850, which is amazing. The waveform is quite pricey at around $450, but well worth it to me. I canceled my Spectrum today as my 2 year promo ends next week. Price is going from 40/mo to 100 (for gigabit, but I only really got 800 most times) . I've found I can get by easily on under 300 mbps, so even on a bad day I'll recover my costs in short order (especially with the $200 gift card).

Edit: visit the "Nater Tater" YouTube channel for more details and if you use his link to waveform you can get 5 (maybe 10) percent off directly from the mfgrs. Cheaper than Amazon.

Never Tmobile again. I had lost my Samsung ultra, and the only way to talk to them for anything was they had to send a text code to the lost device. Then an idiot CS transferred my second line on the account to the lost device so I could no longer read any text pass code to either number so we could authenticate and transfer numbers because the only was was to send a text code to the number on the account to authenticate. They told me they had had email option to send an account pass code but they no longer had it, only thru text. How ridiculous is that. Then the local store treated me like a criminal and I ended up moving on to a new number losing my old numbers and switched my carrier. Those numbers were grandfathered from Sprint with excellent deals at the time from years ago. Now I have realized there are even better deals than those and what I have now, so no regret. But, I will never forget nor forgive how TM treated me when I was in distress. I had to go thru a lot with various sotes including Amazon with these stupid 2A factor verification where they only send you the code to the phone number on file first before they change your new number. Went thru hell with TM.

Now that T-Mobile bought out Vexus Fiber, anyone know if they will have discounts like this for new fiber installs?

I was sick of Spectrum internet and gave T-mobile a try. Unusable at 6mb download speeds. Got rid of it within a day. Beware.

It's wack! You're better off spending $35 more for 1GB Up/1GB Down Fiber with AT&T. Too bad we have an anti fiber regime in place.

Longtime rural user here. I'm satisfied with it. I think I get 100-300 down, 40 up. Low latency and jitter. It usually works fine for corporate Teams meetings, watching video, etc. Every once in a very long while a storm seems to disrupt the signal.

I live line of sight to a cellular tower about 1.5-2 miles away which I think might be theirs. Your proximity to good towers and the placement of the device in your home will make a big difference.

You can barely customize anything with their 5G modem (at least the model I have) so I use a second router for family filtering, etc, and attach everything to that.

You will not have a public IP address. You cannot open/forward ports. It is CGNAT and you will need solutions to get around that. Not hard to look up how to do.

I went from spectrum 400 speed to Tmobile. Getting same speed and hardly had problems. There are certain hours where speed slows noticeably probably due to heavy traffic. The downside of tmobile internet compared to spectrum is the ping. For gaming I'm getting 10 to 30ms higher ping depending on the game. Worst I've seen was overwatch, my ping jumped from 40ms to 110ms

They are installing it on my street currently via MetroNet who T-Mobile apparently owns now. I was able to get in on that Founders deal, we'll see when it gets installed...

Already had this for a month. The speed keep decreasing. The first week I got 430-450mbps. A month later it is now +/- 350mbps. If once it drops lower than 300 I will be back with Spectrum. Spectrum provides 550 to 600mbps as tested before. After I quit, Spectrum mailed me an offer of 500mbps for $40/month and price fixed for 3 years. Really attempting. T-Mobile baited and switched. The CRS told me it will be $45/month after the autopay for the Amplified and free for the first month. Now they said I already have more than 8 voice lines and no autopay discount on the internet. Also no free first month.
And that's why we (finally) quit TMO. They're big on promises. I tried this a little over 2 years ago (in metro PHX). They assured me that the speed was 5G, and it started out that way every time I cycled power on the modem many times per-day. It sometimes dropped to under 2Mbps (yes, you read that right). My Galaxy S22 had consistent 5G speeds (around 300Mbps) in the same location, as did my wife's. Lots of grand promises were made too keep us on the hook (pun intended). They did some shady stuff with our phone services, too. Over and over again. I'd come to expect this from AT&T, then TMO was good for a long time- but then... Even more of my time wasted. Never again.

Got internet only for a family member as we currently have someone else for cell services.

Only option I see on the rebate is to use the phone number they assigned to the account for the rebate. Anyone else see this and figure out a work around for it? It is only telling me it will text the number and I cannot put in a different phone number.

I have the same issue. Have you figured out what to do?
