If you are concerned about B12, consider getting tested for B12, folate and ferritin (iron storage). In most states, requestatest is a good option as you can do your own testing for cheap.
One additional note that anemia usually affects women through low iron levels, not B12, so would recommend getting tested even more so as a woman. My wife ran into this. Worst case, you've covered your bases.

Note that if you want to detect a vitamin B12 deficiency you should test homocysteine or methylmalonic.
Unfortunately the direct B12 test often misses B12 deficiency because certain plants compounds mimic B12 in the blood
As someone else also mentioned, get tested to ensure you actually need it before supplementing it.
