Walmart must have an insane amount of inventory of this TV, or maybe Sony just keeps making it because this particular model keeps going on sale and other retailers have been out of stock for over a year. I got this TV for my parents last year it's good, I recommend it. No wifi issues good picture, fast OS.

I got mine used from best buy. +1 to this comment - no issues and extremely happy with the TV. replacement remote is cheap!

RTINGS.com https://share.google/j4mfUB5PuHUoIosWfOur Verdict 7.7Mixed UsageThe Sony X85K is good overall. It's a good choice for watching movies in dark rooms as it displays deep blacks and has impressive black uniformity, but it doesn't have a local dimming feature to further improve the contrast. HDR looks good thanks to its decent peak brightness in HDR and wide color gamut. It gets bright enough to fight glare from a few lights around and has good reflection handling, so it's a good choice for watching shows or sports in a bright room. Lastly, it's good for gaming as it has HDMI 2.1 bandwidth and variable refresh rate (VRR) support for console gamers.

I can't speak to the X85k. But I had the X80k, and it blew out within 8 months. Tv turned on, screen went kinda gray and then pulsated the screen off until there was no picture. Rinse and repeat.

Sony had arranged for them to pick it up and sent a check out to me all within 2 months. I could've just gotten a faulty unit, but this led me to believe I will never buy a non-OLED tv ever again. The QA of these LED TVs are overlooked by all of the newest and latest and greatest technology sales of OLED screens.

We got a cracked one from a previous sale, so can confirm. And Walmart was terrible to deal with on the return. Had no record of it coming back so it took weeks before we got a refund and it was hours on the phone spread across multiple days before it got solved. Absolute nightmare to the point where I haven't purchased another thing from Walmart since.

Might bite. Getting it wall mounted with the mount plus the 5 year warranty all for under 1k seems like a no brainer for a bedroom tv that won't used much. Was thinking something tcl but for a decent one they are over 1.2k for the tv alone

On second thought I feel like the Costco q77 for $550 is a better buy with 5 year warranty included

The X85K is a pretty low tier 120hz TV. Not having local dimming is a deal breaker for a TV at this price and the peak brightness is awul. If you want a good TV I recommend the TCL QM7 for $50 more. It comes with MiniLED which is newer technology and blows QLED out of the water in terms of brightness and contrast and also fixes the blooming issue that plagues QLED TVs. The Sony X90L is a great TV as well if you want to stick with a bigger name brand
