$50/mo is their lowest plan at totalwireless. And you would need 2 months.

You're posting incorrect information - please read the current unlock policy which changed in April and edit your posts so new users don't get the wrong info.

This changed in April. Now you need to have purchased 60 days or more of service. 30 won't cut it anymore. Also I don't believe there's a $10 option anymore for activating a new device. Their plans start at 15 for the first month then 10 afterwards for autopay.

I still don't get what's the rebranding many people are talking about. I just purchased this phone, inserted my Visible sim card and I'm good to go. I believe any Verizon MVNO will work with the phone.
most of us just want to get it fully unlocked after 60 days to be able to use on a different network such as tmobile.

Okay someone please tell me if this will work?
1. Buy this deal via BB with TW
2. Get phone/sim rebranded to TF by calling customer support
3. Buy the 90 day service from target for $20
4. Phone should be unlocked after 60/61 days of TF service?

Total cost - $50

that's what I just did
I got my phone delivered today and rebranded it to tracfone via chat
you have to give them the imei and sim id number

after they rebrand it, activate it via the tracfone site and use the PIN that target gives you to load up the $20 plan
I did this as well. Used the chat feature on the Tracfone site and told the CS that I just bought a Total Wireless phone and would like it rebranded as Tracfone. They asked for the IMEI and confirmed that I planned to active it with Tracfone. The chat took about 5 min. Went back to the Tracfone site, used the pin that they give you for the $19.99 for 90 days prepaid plan (from BB) and was able to activate the phone. Fingers crossed for the unlock after 60 days.

Has anyone here gotten rid of the bloatware on the phone? What did you get rid of, what instructions did you use and did it help? Deal is still alive by the way.

Mobile Services is the main culprit - stealth crapware downloader. Go to Apps, (...) Show system apps, disable Mobile Services.

You can have a new number. I purchased two of these phones and purchased 2 of the $20 plans and got new numbers.

this is what I did:
I chatted with an agent from tracfone dot com
go to contact us, and select the chat option

I picked technical support and that I was not a current customer. this transferred me to a live agent vs. the AI chat bot thing.

I told the rep that I wanted to rebrand a phone to tracfone. I was asked for the imei of the phone and the SIM card. the agent rebranded the phone. after that, I clicked on Activate and went through the setup process using the $20 pin

One thing I've noticed about this phone is I can't get the background "white" color as white as my old motorola phone. It either has a bluish tint or a beige tint depending on how I set the color. Today I'm trying it on "Normal" color with the picker set at neutral which makes the white look sort of beige IMO. My old motorola I have permanent night light at a very low setting and that got me closest to white (or what I think of as white). For anyone with the 2025 moto g and moto g power models I'm curious how this phone compares in terms of color.

That's one of the hidden issues with cheap phones - lower quality hardware. This is a case of display temperature/color accuracy. They can vary wildly between the same devices bc the tolerance for acceptable quality is much wider. Some can have large swings between the yellow and blue temperature. The more accurate displays are reserved for a more expensive model. You can try using the twilight app to help set the color temperature of the display (in reality it is just setting a colored overlay on the screen).

There's only so much calibration or color shifting you can do to help find neutral white.

Thanks. The phone has since upgraded itself to Android 15 and now the display color settings are more detailed so I was able to get closer by putting the color in vivid/saturated and then within that there's a color picker so I was able tune it to close to the same color as my old phone but not exact. To get closer I'd probably need a custom app where I could adjust the RGB values individually. It turns out my old phone has sort of a very light rose tint due to the very limited intensity of the nightlight setting and that's just the way I saw white. On this new phone though the night light setting actually works like a night light and tints the screen noticeably so I don't use it.

did you have to go through each update 1 by 1?
