How does anyone use wired controllers when USB cables are junk? I had a controller that came with a standard controller thickness USB cable ; but when that started disconnecting after a few falls/pulls it's not like I have any place to buy a good cable.

Not sure what you meant, there are $35+ dollars cables that are 40Gbps and carry videos signals 4k 120hz etc, obviously the gamepads doesn't need videos support, $25 to $30 cables that are sub 40Gbps 30ish Gbps, but if you ask me any 10Gbps data usb-c cables would do and already overkilled, so not sure what you meant by no good quality cables, thunderbolt 4 cables if you want thunderbolt 5 cables that likely cost more than a 8bitdo ultimate 2c it self, if you looking for quality cables. It seems that you aren't aware the difference specs of a charging usb-c power delivery, vs data transfer usb-c with different Gbps speeds vs dp usb-c with videos displaying support and thunderbolt usb-c that are like all in one. Usb-c cables headers maybe identical but there are different specs and options.

Sounds like a "you" problem. I use plenty of wired controllers with fairly generic cables and never have any problems. Take better care of your hardware.
