I'm not TC'ing and I think this a good deal. But don't be misled by thinking that you can't be scammed on Aliexpress when the item is supposedly shipped from the US. Last year I purchased an item from Ali that showed as delivered with tracking, but I never received it. Seller had shipped a piece of junk to a different address in my city. This is a common scam. Again, I'm not saying this is what will happen with this bike, but if tracking says it was received and you didn't get it, you know what's going on.

I know exactly what you mean. Because of that, I installed "up assistant" extension on Chrome which gives you more in depth analysis on the seller. For example, this seller is getting an 8% trust rating with 15.7% neutral/bad reviews.

I had ordered two of these. One came perfectly packaged brand new box and awesomely packed. The other…they sent me a used broken bike with no padding, no parts or key. Box was destroyed by the time it made it to me with a loose bike bouncing around in it. Aliexpress wants me to ship it back. Shipping cost is 560 dollars… more than the bike. I've opened a dispute with my credit card but who knows what will happen now. Waiting to see what happens. Best part is I can't leave a review on the bad one to give others a warning of what happened when buying an ebike on Aliexpress goes wrong. Really hoping my credit card company does the right thing. The bike is not rideable from damage and doesn't even have the required parts to put it together.

This or the Tamobyke V20 for $300 at Walmart [walmart.com]? The Amyet has a bigger battery so should be more range. The rest looks similar but I don't know what to compare.

How would sand get in the motor? Pretty much all of them are sealed tightly enough to prevent water getting in (as long as it's not outright submerged), I don't see how sand would be an issue.

Ordered Sunday. Arrived Tuesday. Packaging was in perfect condition. Mostly assembled and took less than an hour to get everything else installed. Waited a few hours for the battery to charge. Took it for a ride and couldn't be more happier! Rides great, feels like a decently built bike. Bunch of settings can be changed such as max mph, pedal assist/throttle, etc.
Paid $525.86 after taxes. I also use the capitalone shopping app like I do for most online purchases that gave me $69.86 in rewards (I redeem these for gift cards to various stores)
