I'm not TC'ing and I think this a good deal. But don't be misled by thinking that you can't be scammed on Aliexpress when the item is supposedly shipped from the US. Last year I purchased an item from Ali that showed as delivered with tracking, but I never received it. Seller had shipped a piece of junk to a different address in my city. This is a common scam. Again, I'm not saying this is what will happen with this bike, but if tracking says it was received and you didn't get it, you know what's going on.

I know exactly what you mean. Because of that, I installed "up assistant" extension on Chrome which gives you more in depth analysis on the seller. For example, this seller is getting an 8% trust rating with 15.7% neutral/bad reviews.

I had ordered two of these. One came perfectly packaged brand new box and awesomely packed. The other…they sent me a used broken bike with no padding, no parts or key. Box was destroyed by the time it made it to me with a loose bike bouncing around in it. Aliexpress wants me to ship it back. Shipping cost is 560 dollars… more than the bike. I've opened a dispute with my credit card but who knows what will happen now. Waiting to see what happens. Best part is I can't leave a review on the bad one to give others a warning of what happened when buying an ebike on Aliexpress goes wrong. Really hoping my credit card company does the right thing. The bike is not rideable from damage and doesn't even have the required parts to put it together.

No, unless, possibly, you buy it through Amazon, which this deal is NOT through.

Gd, i bought the joyor s10. For same price although it has better specs in just about every single metric. It's obviously terrifying to go over 30mph with the scooter, even with the great hydraulic breaks.

Might have to cop it and have then compete

going 30mph on tiny wheels is straight terrifying. hit 1 pot hole and you're flying. took a pothole a couple of years ago on a scooter going 15mph, hurt me pretty good for weeks. Was fortunate it was only road rash all over the place.

Yeah, my rides on my joyor dont last very long because i feel like its just a matter of time. Don't get me wrong thing is incredible for the price, but it's almost too capable. I feel the need to survey whatever route im gonna ride on before because of potholes. This post looks like a good balance of the capability/ safety/practicality/ and it looks less childish then the joyor. Im 6'2 tho sometimes these bikes are built for chinamen

I know I am going to get down voted. And I know saying "pay 3x the price" isn't popular/realistic for all (Don't buy that Kia - buy that 3x as expensive Porsche!). But you could get a used Honda Ruckus, Yamaha Zuma, or the various other Japanese manufacturer 49cc scooters for ~$1,500 and have Japanese build quality/reliability, a parts and repair network, and a much higher resale value.
I have friends that love these Chinese eBikes. But, then something eventually breaks or wears out. And they can't get replacement parts outside of hoping someone posts what they need on eBay. So, they usually get impatient just buy a new one, which defeats any cost savings.
Something worth considering.

I'm 6ft and thought this bike was going to be too small but I was wrong. I can't even flat foot this thing while sitting on the seat.

My first motorized vehicle was a Vespa...8" wheels....no problem going 75 mph...there is nothing inherently wrong with high speeds and small wheels.

Can a kid 5 feet ride this? Is the seating and handlebar adjustable?

No the seat is not adjustable. The handlebar can be tilted back. There is a guy on YouTube that modified the seat and suspension to make it shorter for his wife and daughter to ride but it would be very challenging for a 5 footer to ride it stock.

In some places this is still considered a bicycle since it has peddles, That allows you to ride on bike paths and in some places sidewalks something you can't do with a ruckus or zuma

Looks like it is applying tax even though it is tax free back-to-school now.
What state? Most have dollar limits on bicycles or exclude them all together. I looked one up for an example and in Florida the bike has to be under $100 to qualify for the tax break.

FL, thank you for this information.
I thought it was >=$500 according to gemini ai answer on google, quoted:
"Yes, in Florida, you can buy a bicycle tax-free during the Freedom Month Sales Tax Holiday, which runs through the month of August. However, there is a sales price limit for bicycles during this holiday: they must be purchased for $500 or less to be exempt from sales tax.
In addition, bicycle helmets are now permanently exempt from sales tax in Florida, regardless of the price, according to Sales Tax and More and the Florida Department of Revenue. ".

Seller is asking for an additional $. The message the seller sent me was "we recieved your order for an e-bike on aliexpress store and due to the new trade war policy all customers are to prepay $100 customs tariffs please reply immediately thank you" IS this legit? Has anyone else experienced this?

Paypal will "NOT" protect you, I bought an item from AliExpress and they first provide a fake FedEx tracking number for a few days then changed it to USPS, they shipped something to another address (I bought a $600+ item) and then put the USPS tracking number in showing it was delivered. As a FYI AliExpress has no way to know a seller has changed a tracking number (I found that out) and the seller also faked a USPS documented with my name and address and a fake signature. When I contacted PayPal and provided the information on the scam, after their research they said the item was delivered according to the tracking number and declined my request for a refund... Only way I ever got my money back was to fake a USPS Shipping label (Which AliExpress "Requires") and sent a picture of a different item saying the seller shipped the wrong item, Seller tried to dispute it but I got my money back 100% ... I would never buy anything from that site again over $10, shop there at your own risk!
Same, Paypal will not protect you. The one time I had a scam shipment with tracking to my city, I had purchased with Paypal. I tried to show that the site was a scam and the delivery was to the wrong address but they declined a refund.
