I thought about signing up via their mailer. Their website is so, so bad. In Chrome is just doesn't load the offer at all. In Brave, it does load, but when signing in during the application flow, it sends you a 2fa via email yet gives you nowhere to enter it. You're just stuck on a page with no buttons to click.

Think really carefully before giving these clowns a dime, IMO. If you mess up easy stuff this badly, imagine how they are with the hard stuff!

If I have a different checking account with them already, can I open a 2nd one to do this or do I not qualify if I already have a checking account with them?

Hmmm, when did I cancel US Bank last time.... that's a good promo!
I liked their customer service, they were actually were competent. The account is a bit more no frills standard, but they actually do have knowledgeable people answering the phone.

Quote from idealsavvy :
This checking account is only "good" if you don't plan on accessing your own money. The withdrawal limits are ridiculous—about $1,500 a week and roughly $3,000 a month. After getting the bonus, I didn't want to leave a large balance sitting in a checking account that earns zero interest, so I tried to transfer it to my external savings account. That's when I realized just how useless these limits are.
I called customer service, and they told me they couldn't raise my limit because I hadn't been with them long enough. Seriously? It's my money, and I should be able to move it when I want. The CSR tried, but their rules are set up to trap your money, not help you.
So I closed the account on the spot and pulled everything out. Not worth dealing with a bank that restricts access to your own funds.
That rings a bell, I think money in and out was very slow due to these limits. There are very conservative, not modern like SoFi. ;-)

How do I see my progress after I open the account?
