Just remember that the Pixel 10 is launching in a couple weeks. Decent chance Best Buy has the trade in an iPhone 13 or whatever and get one free like they have the last couple years. I would definitely wait unless you need a phone immediately.

I tried that, iOS is so incredibly primitive that I'd rather use a buggy Pixel than an iPhone.

Far too many reasons to list, but one simple example is you can't choose your own browser or default maps. No Firefox with uBlock Origin. Apple locks you to their services. The notification system is a joke (no history, no interactions, no dynamic controls). It's an OS built for a child, not a grown adult.

iOS has limitations. Not great for multitasking. Can't split screen. Can't run two of the same app at once. For example with Samsungs secure folder, I can run two Instagram accounts at once with different logins

Can hide banking apps in secure folder as an extra layer of security in case phone is stolen

Ad free YouTube with revanced

GPS location spoofing

I could make a list all day

I used to use iPhones since the beginning when the 3GS came out. Switched when iOS became stagnant and Android started to innovate. Siri is still bad today as it was when it came out 10+ years ago. Google assistant/Gemini is so much better

What watch you use with Samsung? Considering doing the same switching over but don't want to spend slot of money. Don't know about pixel reliability honestly and may co aider another Samsung.

They're talking about the $150 battery recall trade-in on the 6a. I own 2 x 6a's and only one of them qualified for the $150 recall credit.
Ah, I opted for $100 cash instead. I can trade it for $75, that $175 in total. Better than $150 store credit.

There is a battery issue with 6a. You can check to see if your 6a is affected. They are offering 150 towards a trade-in in a new phone or 100 cash or a free battery replacement. From my experience codes don't work on sale prices of phones tho, but for all I know they made an exception for this 150$ code they are giving out. I didn't take a chance and opted for the 100$ cash
Same here, opted for $100 cash.

Just wait till you find out your code doesn't work on sale prices only full price. At least that's what I have discovered. Better to take the cash and then trade in your phone and get the 40-75$ on sale price.
It works, final price is $175 + tax w/ trade-in. Glad I didn't take the cash.

$150 credit + $75 trade-in is better. It works on the sale price, $175 + tax final cost.

if you have student discount or other 10% promo you can get total to around $265

iphone 16e is $172 total with new number from boost mobile. google store gives $285 trade-in credit for iphone 16e.
with 10% off comes out to $93 after trade-in
a bit of trouble to go through but 265 for new unlocked pixel worth it imo

Exactly what I've been waiting for....my 6a now lasts 3 hours before I have to plug it in after the battery nerf.
You can get a free battery replacement from the Google Store or ubreakifix - takes about an hour for the service.

My code works fine. Considering taking my 8 for $150 off + $174 trade in. But not sure if I should wait...

I was able to stack the $150 credit and $75 trade in on my 6a, along with the $100 off price. Total amount will be $197 after I get the $75 credit onto my credit card. Thanks for the deal!

In fairness to the 5300, it definitely got better over time but it took many updates. Less of a worry today than when it debuted in the 7, but still well ahead of the modem they used in the 6 series.I will say the 9 series modem cleared it from day 1.
Thank you! I need to replace my battery-nerfed 6a, and was considering 9a as its successor, but it seems like every comparison between 9 and 9a is that the Exynos 5300 is sooo awful and horrible and made of tree bark and sadness. So a balanced comparison is super helpful.
Similar issue with the camera bar on the 9. "Some users have reported" that the camera bar came loose. Upon further research, "some users" = 2.

what are the "every way" differences?
Maybe not every way (screen is same size and pixel density) but the standard 9 has the better cell radio, camera and more ram.
