How much for the natural gas installation? They are asking me too much to instalk it.
If you have a natural gas external hookup for a BBQ and want to just plug appliances directly into this (refrigerator, etc), do you need something extra to do the installation? Just don't want to lose food when power goes out for a day.
I will be using it to power a PA system (speakers, subs, etc.) out in the woods.
Here is a summary of the differences:
The WEN DF680iX and Champion 9000 are both inverter generators, offering clean power suitable for sensitive electronics. However, there are some key differences:
Fuel type
- WEN DF680iX: Dual fuel (Gasoline and Propane).
- Champion 9000: Tri-fuel (Gasoline, Propane, and Natural Gas).
Power output- WEN DF680iX: 6800 starting watts (gas) / 6000 starting watts (propane). 5100 running watts (gas) / 4500 running watts (propane).
- Champion 9000: 9000 starting watts (all fuel types). 7250 running watts (gasoline) / 6525 running watts (propane) / 5875 running watts (natural gas).
Other features- Noise Level: The WEN DF680iX operates at 64 dBA, while the Champion 9000 operates at 72 dBA. The WEN is quieter.
- Runtime: The WEN DF680iX runs for up to 6.1 hours at 50% load on gasoline, or 9 hours on a 20lb propane tank. The Champion 9000 runs for up to 14 hours at 1/4 load on gasoline, or 12 hours on propane.
- Safety Features: Both generators have CO Shield carbon monoxide shutdown systems, according to Champion Power Equipment. The WEN also features an automatic fuel shutoff to maximize engine lifespan.
- Portability: Both generators come with wheels and handles for transport. The WEN weighs 94.8 lbs, while the Champion weighs 156.6 lbs.
- Additional Features: The WEN has a bonded-neutral 240V configuration for low-power Level 2 EV charging, and Auto Fuel Selection technology that prioritizes propane. The Champion includes natural gas and propane hoses.
In conclusionThe Champion 9000 offers more flexibility with its tri-fuel capability and higher starting and running wattage. However, the WEN DF680iX is quieter and lighter. Your choice will depend on your specific needs regarding fuel options, power requirements, noise sensitivity, and portability.
