Good. Bought one on a previous sale. AAs are unnecessary as it makes it heavy. I have a similar model from ages ago (another brand) that uses LR44 batteries instead and I've not replaced them in a decade.

But, I dont know what to do with the small brass adapter as I don't see where it would screw in.

It's probably for other types of tires w presta valves (like some bicycle tires). Or maybe im just inferring incorrectly from the picture.

Why does a tire pressure gauge need AI?
it's just the brand name, not actually 'AI'

So they're trying to deceive their potential customers then?

Subway's "Eat Fresh"* slogan.

*note: no fresh ingredients used. this is merely a suggestion, similar to don't eat yellow snow and never divide by zero.

Just bought this for $4.. a few days a go. Worth it. Used it to measure the pressure in the osmosis water filtration tank. Measure down to 3psi and up. Won't go lower.

Keep an analog one in the car still. I've had these for a couple of years and both times I needed it the battery died while using it after being in the glove box for a while. I just replaced my old ones with the AAA version hoping the batteries last longer and are easier to replace.
I love them when they work, way easier to read and more precise than the analog pop up ones.

Replacement LR44 batteries will probably cost more than the unit when the time comes.
