I got to say I've got the ultraboost 5x and I also have the SL Evo... The Evo crushes it and the thing with these sales are you have to check often and check not only on eBay but also on Adidas site because some days the shoes are ridiculously marked down on the Adidas site. if you're a member and expensive on eBay and vice versa, but the ultraboost is got a much lower stack height and I really think it's an overrated shoe compared to the Evo.
My two favorite running shoes this year are the Evo and the New balance. rebel V5(fkna fuel cell).. watch out for any models from Adidas that you buy with the gusseted tongues and check out any model that you're interested on. any shoe on run repeats cut in half review. it's really quite a remarkable way to see the strengths and weaknesses of each shoe. but actually I'd rather have the Adizero SL over the SL Evo... As the the Evo Scott Moore stack height and the SL can be found for $45 or $50 on sale and you can train on that or race in it. I really think it's really an underrated shoe.... check back and forth on Adidas eBay site and their own site because they switch up the deals all the time. join the Adidas club so you get the free shipping and then you don't get hammered $6.99 shipping from Adidas or from eBay but if I were to pick one model for 2025 it would have to be the Adizero SL EVO...
ironically for just worrying around casually the Adistar 3 It's one of the most comfortable shoes. I like it better than my glycerin Max or any of the I think I have like 31 pairs of shoes now. I always rotate but I always come back to the evils. but if you can get it for $53 you must be for small feet. and Don't forget to get your lock laces. I run them in all my shoes. and wow what a difference those lock laces shoelaces make. I mean I can slip in and out and my shoes don't come untied. and yeah, they're about $7 a pair, but some of the laces that come on these $180 shoes are a shambles..Lock Laces!
In this case, they were the Mahomes colorways. So they were "special edition". But still…. Never makes sense.
