serious question, can you share some uses of a small rotary (Dremel like) tool? other than say building plastic models?

Honestly nothing. I'm not tied to any specific brand of anything so I'm always down to try different brands out. At the end of the day if it works then that's good enough for me

I should've phrased the question as why would anyone buy this posts items over the random Amazon link one I found? outside of the looks idk what else this thing is offering.
I have a corded Dremel… probably 30 years old or so.I have considered getting a cordless for those times when something cordless would be more convenient to use.Is a 4 V cordless strong enough to be worth the money, Even $20-$30?
I'm not 100% sure but I'll know later tonight when I get off work and try it out. The worst thing that happens is I have to return it. I feel like it'll do nicely though considering I saw a 4v Weed whacker on Amazon earlier and the reviews were pretty good. If this was my only rotary tool it probably wouldn't be enough especially with the short battery life and unable to be used while charging compared to a corded Dremel or proxxon with a flex shaft

I got one of these a few weeks ago to help me sand and burnish the edges of my leather projects and do some other light-to-medium duty stuff. It doesn't seem as powerful as my cordless Dremel, but it's more ergonomic and the charging stand is nice. I'd definitely buy it again.

Honestly, not that bad. It uses the same accessories as my Dremel aside from Dremel accessories like the plunge router, drill press, flex shaft but for $30 you can't go wrong with it. Plenty of power and it's pretty quiet to use.

IMHO Hoto stuff is well made, most of it premium or close to at least. Even so, I find their stuff to be a bit inflated price-wise. They started out selling the crazy looking little brushless 12v drill/driver, looks sorta robotic-futuristic. The kit came with a battery, charger and some bits, and it listed for something like $140. It was a nifty drill, I was even able to handle one & use it a bit. Quality made drill, but not for $140 In my opinion, anyway
