and all those cars are junk you're be off just using a cheap fram for those cars
I bought this last time. but the plastic top part on the picture does not spin/move at all. On OEM and Mobil1 filters they spin so I was afraid to use the Puraltor brand. I returned it. Anyone can chime in if the spin matters?
IIRC (changed one a few months ago), there has to be some slip between the cap and filter. So 'yes'.
Online pics show examples of what happens without slip: the pleats twist, potentially damaging the bond between the end caps and filter media (which would allow oil bypass).
Side note: That funky look should've been nature's way of telling the engineer who came up with it: There are better designs! lol
