Rather useless post without any indication of what it might fit. eBay indicates it may be Compatible With Jeep Grand Cherokee, Wrangler, Chrysler Pacifica, Dodge Grand Caravan, Charger, Durango and Ram 1500

This is for the second generation 3.6l pentastar motor. If you need this filter, you probably recognized it immediately from the picture.

I bought this last time. but the plastic top part on the picture does not spin/move at all. On OEM and Mobil1 filters they spin so I was afraid to use the Puraltor brand. I returned it. Anyone can chime in if the spin matters?

IIRC (changed one a few months ago), there has to be some slip between the cap and filter. So 'yes'.

Online pics show examples of what happens without slip: the pleats twist, potentially damaging the bond between the end caps and filter media (which would allow oil bypass).

Side note: That funky look should've been nature's way of telling the engineer who came up with it: There are better designs! lol
