My seagate failure rate was high enough to stop buying seagate,
Guess what hard drive failure rate of any drive is 100%.

I just got my 18 TB seagates. They are EXOS. I think it's worth it especially if you're using these in a NAS.
Thanks for the info...I just ordered a pair

My 26T died after 9 days. It passed low-level Stablebit Scanner after about 5 days, but it was running hot at 57C. External cooling brought that down to the high 40s like my WD drives. The default exFat format had high overhead for small files. Reformatted to NTFS like my other drives, and the sequential Read and Write speeds increased considerably. NTFS has better error recovery, but it certainly couldn't do anything for a failed drive. Since their RMA could result in a used drive, I opted for a cash refund, minus the shipping cost I had to pay. Wished I had a positive experience.

I've purchased and shucked four seagate expansion drives over the past five months. Two 20tb drives, a 22tb and a 26tb. All of them are Barracudas. They are definitely louder than the Western Digitals when starting up and seeking. They remind me of the old early 2000's era hdds. The drives have around 3500 hours on them and they are still keeping cool and going strong in my Synology NAS.
Which model of Barracuda exactly was the 26TB? I've read that some of them are only suited for cold storage due to specs. Would love some decent drives at this price.

Did you get STKP18000402 or STKP18000400? Thanks!

Open the site on either mobile or an incognito window, and you should get the pop-up for the coupon immediately.

OK, would love to get this deal, indeed I'd get two of these for my Plex media collection - two 26TB HDD's replacing four mixed externals totalling 28TB. For those dishing Seagate, I'm still running two 10TB Seagate Expansions purchased in 2019, also have loads of WD, on the portable 5TB side all failures have been WD, specifically the controllers themselves - the fix cost me US$50 for 4 of these externals, many would have just thrown them out without checking the actual HDD with a different SATA connection. All 'new' technology comes with risk, but at US$250 for 26TB of storage its well worth a gamble if these drives last longer than 36 months.

I forgot, I can't participate of this deal because Seagate Asia is useless and Seagate USA don't deliver overseas, as such, its a choice of increasing my costs by sending orders to a US adress and then forward to Hong Kong, which ain't cheap. Alternatively, I'm stuck with Amazon as they offer Free delivery on orders over US$49.00 to my region. Again, a big thumbs up for this offer.

Just go buy a gohardrive or serverpartsdeals HDD that comes with a 5 year warranty. It's at least going to work for 5 years for a fraction of the price

I wasn't able to get it to pop up after many attempts in Google Chrome, even opening a incognito tab.

I decided to try Edge browser and I got it to pop up quickly after some refreshing (the Edge browser had never been opened even one time before, I got a "Welcome to Edge browser" splash screen when I opened it lol)

They are no longer a fraction of the price, sadly.
