If you're in the market for some running shoes, these have very good reviews as a daily trainer.

I would agree that if you're starting from zero, then a store is the best bet.

The reputable brand part is suspect. I've run on Pegasus since I think 2012, and over the last 2-3 years, they've morphed into something that just don't work for me.

If you know your running style, pace, and gait, run repeat is incredible.

Reviews don't matter much as long as it's a reputable brand. It's all able your foot composition and gate. Best bet is going to a specialty running store to get fitted for a trainer that works well for your needs.

Bought the raiders Pegasus last year and the padding on the back of the foot is already falling apart. Seems like they ment to be replaced more often

My take on the Pegasus Plus:
I'm neutral footed, run 2000+ miles a year for the past 10 or so years and still race XC, track, and road(5k - marathon).
I'm on my second pair, have logged ~700 miles between the two pairs, and find this to be maybe the best trainer I've ever worn. I've liked various trainers through the years, but Nike really nailed this one. I cycle through 3-5 pairs of shoes each week to train in depending on the context, and this is always a joy to wear.
(I've trained in New Balance, Saucony, even Under Armour, Adidas)

So much better than pegasus turbo NN while still not being overcushioned. And they took the good parts of the Invincible's ZoomX cushioning and put it into a more responsive / nimble package.
Give them a try if you like running in Pegs.

If you're going to say something about Nike's QC:
Yes, there is always that concern, though I will say with ultra-light materials, it's not going to be as durable as clunkers of the past with 4 layer construction. I've had pairs of Invincibles break on my in recent years around 100-250 miles in... But no big deal. Just call them up, and they will issue you a full MSRP Nike voucher for the shoes that failed, to buy another pair if a situation happens like that for you. These days, I almost hope shoes prematurely fall apart so I can get new ones to replace them with. Besides the Invincibles, haven't had anything like that happen on other pairs though.
I have even trained in 1st gen Alpha Flys for ~500 miles at tempo pace or faster, and they somehow still hold up and go fast for those days.

How many miles have you put on them? What kind of running are you doing in them?

Which pairs are they falling off for? What have you seen happen?

Foam issues on the Alphafly 3 and Vaporfly 3 & 4. That ZoomX foam is rather fragile. I've seen just build quality issues on brand new VF4s in store. Spots where the shoes either weren't glued well or it's already coming loose.

Thanks for the rundown. May I ask if you have high/low/average arch? And how wide your foot is?
