just buy the powdered stuff. We didn't have a dishwasher growing up so I didn't learn the need for a prewash. These pods are barely better than powdered dishwasher detergent if at all and you need something else for pre wash anyways.

Yeah, tried that stuff. Hard "NO" from our family. We had a weird white, hard, film on all of our dishes and the sprayers seemed to get more gunked up.

I recently decided to try the Kirkland Signature pods and are finding they are working pretty well. I've used these Platinum ones for ages but might switch to the Costco ones going forward.

If you have a BJs membership, they have berkley jensen Ultra dishwasher pacs (92 count) that compare to Cascade Platinum. $16.99, and they had a coupon recently $2.50 off. I really like them.
