I appreciate that your post clarifies that this is NOT compatible with the latest Paperwhite, especially since the Amazon product page highlights that it IS compatible.

I originally placed the order and then read reviews which match your statement:

"Contrary to Amazon's green recommendation box "Compatible with your 'All new Amazon Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition 32 GB ...'." right next to the buy button, this cover does NOT fit the 2024 Paperwhite 12th Gen, so I had to return it."

It also apparently does not support 10th gen kindle (2018) despite it also showing me a green "compatible" box.

Yeah, up to $6.46 now. Surprised the $3 price lasted as long as it did without them moving the goalpost.
