I can probably get $875 for my 512GB S25 Ultra on Swappa, but that only brings it down to $774 with this deal. I never paid attention really, so don't know what the past good launch deals were with the Fold. With no Front Page deal here since day 1, I assume this year is the worst.

Unfortunately I recently purchased a Flip 7 from Google Fi and it's too late to return. So I'm stuck with it for the credits until the end of November I think. (So even past Black Friday) For the right deal, I'd get the Fold 7 and stick it in a drawer until November. But this deal isn't it.
Not like I need this Fold 7. But I've been playing around with one for several weeks now (friend owns one) and it's really nice. The battery is now decent, and it's lighter than before and as thin as my S25 Ultra. I dig.

The age of elevated Samsung values are over mostly. If you do the FI deal for $1299 and sell yours locally you will come out ahead.
Edit: I am using it for past few weeks. Coming for S25U, the camera in this is very close if you don't use much of the telephoto
I will wait until later this year and see if the price got better. Previously I had to jump to the upgrade right away due to the latch got loose after one year of usage and screen protector pills aways. But last year's model seems to holding fine so far so I can wait a bit longer
earlier when they first dropped, I was able to get 2 a 512 and a 1tb for 2500. i traded in a broken fold 4 and a s23 plus. I then sold my fold 6 for 1000 and my fiancees s24 ultra for 600. so I paid about 900 for both.

If you want to upgrade every year though FI deals are the best. I have upgraded from S23U to S24U to S25U without paying any money. I will try to do the same for Fold upgrades starting with fold 7 although I might need to shell pit couple of hundreds as folds are niche market and does not hold as high of a value as the ultras.

edu price with s25u trade in shows $852 for me..without trade in it's $1517. Honestly probably easier to trade within because swappa fees, you'll be left with 750 about. S25u has taken a dive in resell this past month. 875 is very good, as it's gone for other 3pm site for around $700 mostly.If you're not In a rush, best to wait until Oct/Nov when there will be at least a better sale that should bring the fold 7 to around $1200 without trade-in (maybe??). However Google Fi is best bet but if you don't their service, you'll need to pay $80 for service before you can cancel..Since the fold 6, Samsung has been inflating price and become a big turn off. I simple have NO desire to spend 1500 on a phone, or target in a 1000 phone and still pay 800+.If they offered at least s23, s24u trade in and pay $700, maybe...but it's simple not worth it whatsoever (opinion ofc!)
