Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank donldmn

If you live near a Menards they have their own branded version of this that charges with USB-C for $15. I don't know how it compares but it works good for me. The WORX has good reviews though and some people have the Best Buy email discount which would make this an even better deal. I would have probably got the WORX if it was this price when I needed it.

Thank you for reminding me about that promo! I had $10. I received the Best Buy email but summarily forgot about it since I rarely buy anything from Best Buy anymore. I've been considering one of these box cutters for awhile to break down cardboard, but they never seemed worth it to me even at only $30-$40. But at $15 after the promo (tax and shipping included), I figured it was worth a shot.

Anybody use this for cutting fabric? Most of the reviews talk about cutting cardboard.

I bought it and returned it a few months back. It felt too slow for my natural ability to manually break amazon boxes and pack it into a smaller bin. This does the job but would have taken me exponentially longer... just my opinion.

I have this and it works great. I do reupholstering and it easily and quickly cuts through canvas, vinyl, Tweed, wool. The cut is very straight and much better than regular scissors.

I bought it from eBay worx store for $17.

After using it few times I don't understand why they made this. You have to apply pressure to move it and it can only cut small or medium thickness boxes only.

Very hard to use. This does not either save time or energy. Blade is fixed and can't be adjusted. So you can't cut any thick boxes. You have to apply pressure to move the blade.
It works good for paper cutting but it's not for what I bought it. Now it's a show pice.

Also note charger is their proprietary. So if you lose it this is of no use.

Now I moved back to regular pocket knife to cut the boxes.

They bit more than they could chew. I think sometimes companies make a product for certain things then someone said, hmm this is decent for cutting boxes too... But somehow they market it also as such without great success on that aspect. Sort of how a lot of these mediocre to nonexistent bluetooth devices state they have noise canceling just to join the rest when in fact it's trash in some cases, and cost more just putting the feature name there

Cuts normal fabric and microfleece like a champ. Haven't tried canvas or vinyl, but someone else said it does those too.

In my view it can cut anything a regular scissors can do

Only issue here is scissors you can expend the height of the both edges here it's not. As long as your target fits in the height of the blade it do the job

Cuts annoying hard plastic packaging w/o braking your fingers and/or your scissors.
I consider it 100% ROI after cutting just 2 of the plastic crap. It has value.
