This is the price I'd expect for unlocked versions of these phones, without having to go through some carrier to unlock it after x days/months.
Then when you couple it with there being no guarantee it actually unlocks after the requisite period it makes this deal that much worse.

1. The lower price that requires annual plan - does it work if I am already on an Annual plan, or does it require me to buy a new Annual plan to qualify?
2. While the phone is locked, can it work outside of the US? For example, using eSim from Google Fi or Nomad?

With it locked you won't be able to use it outside the US unless you have/add international roaming on your US Mobile plan. I don't think they do temporary unlocks either.

But doing some research, seems like S25 Ultra is better for around the same price point (from other sources). The processor is the big diff. Tensor G5 is about only on par with last year's Qualcomm chip on the S24...
