Lots of reports not to use black plastic cooking utensils out of China. Saying they contain recycled plastic from items like electronics. Not sure if this applies but just sharing what my wife and kids tell me when I buy this stuff.

Most rigid plastic cooking utensils are nylon.

The popular housewares brand OXO, known for its ergonomically designed kitchen tools, is owned by Helen of Troy Limited. While Helen of Troy Limited is legally headquartered in Hamilton, Bermuda, its primary operations and U.S. headquarters are based in El Paso, Texas, United States.
OXO was acquired by Helen of Troy Limited in 2004. Helen of Troy, a publicly traded company, is a global manufacturer and distributor of a wide portfolio of consumer products, including brands like Hydro Flask, Braun, and Vicks. The company's presence in Bermuda is primarily for financial and tax purposes, while its core business activities are managed from its Texas headquarters.

This is true. I purchased a metal hot beverage container with a black plastic lid to sip from. After a month of drinking 2 cups of organic coffee a day from it, my nipples became enlarged and were extremely sore. My doctor told me to stop using the cup with the lid on and it went away slowly. After about 3 weeks it was gone. The black plastic has a hyper estrogenic chemical.

Is it microplastic safe? 425F is not that high as this would typically be exceeded on high setting using a gas burner.

Well, it's before 7am and I've found my reason to stop scrolling through SD already. Guess I'll get off the toilet
